The New Jersey Policy Institute (NJPI) has filed an amicus brief in the ongoing school segregation lawsuit brought by the Latino Action Network and the NAACP. In partnership with the New Jersey Interdistrict Public School Choice Association, NJPI offers a data-driven perspective on how expanding the state’s Interdistrict School Choice Program can serve as a practical, immediate remedy.
Executive Director Wells Winegar emphasized the solution’s readiness: “School Choice is an existing, successful program currently subject to a state freeze. It is cost-effective, voluntary, and ready for implementation.”
NJPI remains committed to contributing research and policy insight that advances equitable, effective education solutions across New Jersey.
