Former NJPI summer intern Strahinja Beljanski examines how programs in Connecticut and Michigan have reduced chronic absenteeism and identifies lessons New Jersey could apply, including targeted interventions for at-risk students, stronger connections between families and available resources, and greater accountability for attendance outcomes
